Welcome to “How I See It,” a weekly podcast that “works to counter cultural polarization through thoughtful conversations.” Our co-hosts, Mark Pratt and Justin Sternberg are curious individuals who are passionate about engaging in deep and meaningful conversations about hard subjects.
Our co-hosts, Mark Pratt and Justin Sternberg, both possess a strong desire to explore complex topics and challenge our own perspectives, as well as those of our guests and listeners. We believe that open and honest dialogue is crucial for personal growth and for fostering understanding and empathy within our communities.
Throughout our episodes, we tackle a wide range of subjects, from current events and social issues to personal experiences and philosophical concepts. Our goal is to provide a safe and respectful space for diverse voices to be heard and for us to learn from each other’s perspectives.

Mark Pratt
Mark Pratt is a father of two adult children and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition to his work as a therapist, Mark is also a construction contractor and a volunteer in marriage and family ministries at his local church in Southport, North Carolina.
As a co-host on the podcast “How I See It”, Mark brings a wide variety of viewpoints through his extensive experience as a therapist, his decades of blue-collar work as a construction contractor, and his distinct personal outlook as a father and community member. Mark is passionate about providing valuable perspectives to our listeners through the discussions on the show, often presenting an enlighting look into “the spectrum” that any subject can take on.

Justin Sternberg
Justin is a father of three kids and a web programmer by trade, who lives in the small coastal town of Southport, North Carolina. In his free time, he is a musician and worship leader at his local church and Celebrate Recovery.
With a passion for exploring complex ideas and challenging paradigms (including his own), Justin brings a unique perspective to the podcast. His background in web programming allows him to think logically and analytically, while his experience as a father and musician/worship leader brings an empathetic and creative approach to the conversations.
Born in 1983, and by most accounts considered a “millennial”, Justin is passionate about engaging in conversations about the challenges and opportunities faced by his generation and learning from the diverse perspectives of our guests and listeners.
